"his primer was designed with the aim of pro T viding young audiences with useful information about the science of volcanoes, and with the intention to be used in Earth Sciences instruction, in conjunction with primary school study plans. It has been written in both Spanish and English order to reach a wider audience, become a valuable source ma terial at bilingual educational institutions, and to poten tially constitute a guide for similar books presented at international institutions. The primer is also conceived as a source material, which can offer support for so cialization processes within communities that have de veloped around volcanoes, and will thus contribute to the current educational literature on volcanic hazards.
